I am currently seeking reliable, compassionate, and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join my support team and assist me with daily living activities.

As a woman living with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, I rely on personal care assistance to help me remain independent, active in my community, and continue my work as the Founder of  Girls Chronically Rock⁠ and GCR Adaptive Solutions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Personal care and hygiene assistance
  • Dressing and grooming support
  • Hoyer lift transfers
  • Assistance with showering and bathing
  • Meal preparation and light cooking
  • Light housekeeping and laundry
  • Emptying and monitoring urinary drainage bags
  • Assistance with medical supplies and organization
  • Range of motion exercises
  • Community outings and appointments
  • General support with daily activities

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should:

  • Be dependable and punctual
  • Have a compassionate and professional attitude
  • Be comfortable assisting a wheelchair user
  • Be willing to learn individualized care routines
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and respect
  • PCA, HHA, CNA, or caregiving experience is preferred but not required
  • A valid driver’s license is a plus

Schedule
