TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR JOB OR COMPANY AND WHAT LED YOU TO YOUR CAREER?

I started Girls Chronically Rock back in 2017, because I wanted to create a movement and motivate and inspire others who maybe dealing with a chronic illness/disability like myself. I studied and received my bachelors degree from Framingham state university in 2007. I always had a passion for fashion so I knew I wanted to be a business owner and work for myself. In around 2011, I started to get really weird symptoms within my body and I did now know what was going on with my body. I went to the doctors and that's when I was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy while I was in graduate school at Cambridge college. After being diagnosed I was not sure what the future holds or what was to happen to me, so I shut down and was really depressed and though I will never pursue my dreams. After some time, I knew I had to come out and put my dreams back to use and do what I had to, to be successful. I started blogging, making videos and sharing my story and that's when I created Girls Chronically Rock.

WHAT WOULD YOUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT YOU AND YOUR COMPANY?

They would say my company is inspiring, motivational and inspiring to others from kids, all the way to seniors have written to me asking me about my tshirts and love my message and they feel inspired. they love to hear my story and what else girls chronically rock has in store.

WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED?

Feeling inspired and because my message or a blog or video they recieved from me , they know they are worth living and not to give up and they will continue to strive and live everyday. that makes me feel inspired and motivated and not to give up and continue to work on myself and my brand and continue to not give up.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK?

Anything fashion or business related

WHAT IS YOUR SECRET WEAPON? AN APP, A TOOL, A ORGANIZATION METHOD, ANYTHING?! (CAN BE A PERSONAL OR PROFESSIONAL LIFE TOOL)

I love being organized and was that way since I was a little girl. I always kept a clean room t home and even in college and if I do not feel organized and things around me not organzed I feel incomplete and not motivated or energized to continue with my day unless things are in order.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST RECENT WIN? HOW ARE YOU SLAYING IN YOUR CAREER OR BUSINESS?

My recent win was when I was featured in Good Morning America online news and that made me feel great and empowered and thought to myself wow, this is a huge accomplishment.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO YOUR YOUNGER SELF?

keep going, never give up. things take a toll on us some days and we never know what the next day is going to bring and somethings are out of our hands that we cannot control, but things will get better and it will only get better if you never give up and keep going and feel inspired by others and motivated and watch the company you keep.

HOW DO YOU ENJOY YOUR FREE TIME?

I love watching tv shows such as wendy williams, project runway, drama, 911, siest keys and more. my shows are what keep me sane and happy, even though I may not have a good day, whether I'm fatigued or something, knowing I have shows to look forward to makes me happy.

WHAT IS SOMETHING THAT NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOU?

I am obsessed with buffalo chicken wings and pizza lol

  • Hello, I am just becoming really interested in your blog and website and would like to support you and your business as much as I can. I just want to be apart of something positive but personal, I too have a rare condition , but I‘d like to become more familiar with all the different illness that are affecting communities around the world. And what can we all do to help another person or support them.
